Youth sailing classes will be held two times in 2015. The first class runs from July 6 through July 10 and the second class is from July 20 through 24. These classes run from 9 am to 4 pm every during that week. The classes are held at the Sailboat Cove on the west shore of Cheney Lake.
The youth sailing classes are sponsored by the Ninnescah Sailing Association (NSA). It is known as the NSA Junior Sailing Camp and is designed for kids and youth ages 8 to 17. The purpose of the class is to learn to sail, play sailing games, compete, and have FUN!
Everything will be supplied by the sailing club except for your personal floatation device or lifejacket. The kids will learn to sail on the club's sailboats which include Sunfish, 420, Optis, Lasers and Prindle 16 sailboats.
